Guest Information Guide
Serengeti & Ngorongoro
Everything you need for an unforgettable safari experience.
Arrive as guests. Leave as family.

The name Embalakai is derived from the Maasai language and means "bamboo tree."
Like the bamboo, known for its strength and flexibility, our camps stand resilient while blending harmoniously with the natural environment. This philosophy shapes our design, our service approach, and the way we welcome each guest.
Established in 2019 in the Serengeti National Park, Embalakai Authentic Camps began with a single vision: to create a safari experience rooted in authenticity, genuine hospitality, and respect for the land.
Today, we proudly operate three distinctive camps:
- Two in the Central Serengeti
- One in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Each location is unique in setting and atmosphere, yet united by our commitment to heartfelt service and unforgettable safari experiences.

The Embalakai Foundation was established to support education, empowerment, and sustainable development within the communities that welcome us into their homeland.
Recent initiatives include:
- Educational infrastructure support
- Community safety projects
- Collaboration with Maasai elders and local leaders
Every guest stay contributes directly to these initiatives.
We work closely with local schools, village elders, and conservation partners to ensure tourism benefits both wildlife and people.
Guests are welcome to learn more about our Foundation initiatives during their stay. Our Camp Managers are happy to share further information.
We believe in allowing guests to arrive, breathe, and settle into the rhythm of Tanzania.
We do not rush experiences. We do not overwhelm. We create space for connection, discovery, and meaningful moments.
